Carrington Slaughter,

M.S., LPC

Hi, I’m Carrington Slaughter, a therapist with a genuine interest in people; their stories, their patterns, and the inner world that shapes how they move through life.

I work with children, teens, and adults who are often feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or stuck in cycles they can’t quite make sense of. This can show up as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, behavioral concerns in children, or moments of life transition where things feel uncertain or heavy.

My approach is grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own experience. My role is not to define you, but to help you notice what may be difficult to see on your own; those patterns, protective responses, and lived experiences that quietly shape how you think, feel, and connect.

I earned my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Houston, where I also worked as a Project Manager for the Trauma and Stress Studies Center. I went on to complete my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of St. Thomas, while working clinically at the Eating Recovery Center/Pathlight Mood and Anxiety.

Above all, I aim to offer a space that feels grounded, supportive, and collaborative—where you can explore your experiences openly and begin to understand yourself in a new way.
